“Workplace Mindfulness”

provides training in the skillful use of mindfulness tools and methods that can be used to deal with circumstances–from the mundane to the most challenging–in both your professional and personal lives.

Free Introductory Workshop+ Five Weekly Sessions:

Wednesdays, September 25th to October 30th, on Zoom.

For details, see below the images.

When you are feeling highly stressed, overwhelmed, distracted, or overcome with doubt, mindfulness practice reveals a fresh perspective that invites resourcefulness and clarity.

Practicing mindfulness and awareness helps to cultivate steadiness–even in the midst of chaos. You are less affected by impulsivity, self-criticism, and hesitation, and are better able to move forward with confidence and integrity when action is required.

Andrew Safer has piloted the “Workplace Mindfulness” program to Memorial University faculty and staff, and uniformed and civilian members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary police. He has presented multiple workshop series to undergraduate and graduate students on work terms at Memorial University; and to members of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Outcomes for ten university students on work terms from pre/post evaluations are posted here, which includes a 65% improvement in dealing with stressful situations, a 64% improvement in knowing how to interrupt the pattern of worry, a 38% improvement in distractedness, and a 32% improvement in self-awareness regarding impulsiveness.

During the workshop series, we will use Andrew’s recently published book,

Mindfulness in the Workplace has been endorsed by Ruchika Sikri, former head of Well-Being and Mindfulness Learning at Google; Scott Shute, former head of Mindfulness and Compassion at LinkedIn; and Garry Lloyd, Chief Operating Officer at Mindful.org and mindfulness.com.

The “Workplace Mindfulness” training program is available in a variety of formats to both individuals and dedicated groups within organizations.
